Call for Technology Speakers

The 2020 Women in Technology Conference Louisville (WITLOU) is accepting applications for speakers through March 10. Be an industry thought leader and a technology innovator champion!

  • Have you or does someone you know have a minimum of eight years of experience in a technology field?
  • Do you have public speaking experience?
  • Can you provide insight into a hot tech topic that would be of interest to a broad audience?

Click on the link below to nominate yourself or someone you know (person does not have to be local) to speak at the conference. Some topics we are looking for speakers to cover include Healthcare Tech, Artificial Intelligence, eSports and many others.

Technology specialists will lead from one to three breakout sessions for approximately 30 minutes each.  We expect 100 to 150 attendees at each session.  We are also looking for keynote speakers in the main room where you will speak to all 700+ attendees.

If you don’t know someone, share ideas for topics. We would love your input

This event would not be possible without the support of so many amazing women and a few good men!  Volunteer your time and talents and give something back to the community and make a difference to the IT industry.  Develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. Meet new friends and grow in your professional and personal life.

There are a number of ways that you can get involved in supporting women in technology.

  • Our monthly planning meetings are a great way to share ideas and help to ensure your voice is heard by the conference planners. We meet every third Friday of the month at 8:15 at Fante’s Coffee. No need to RSVP – just show up any month you can.
  • Join the “Awards” selection committee to help find and select women who deserve to be recognized for their achievements.
  • Influence the next generation of women in tech by joining the “Student Ambassador” committee. Over the last two years, we have brought over 50 female high school and college students to the conference! But we have just touched the surface! Help us spread the word to the next generation of WIT!
  • Join the “Communications Committee” and help women experience this fun event by helping to spread the word.

If you are interested in volunteering but cannot attend the monthly planning meetings, please reach out to Shannon!  We would love to get to know you and love to have you be a part of this fun event!
