Dr. Kimberly Perry
SVP and CMO at Kindred Healthcare
Dr. Kim Perry, DO, MBA, MHCM joined Kindred Healthcare LLC in 2019 as its Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Her duties include driving the company’s value proposition with managed care payor partners as well as leading Kindred’s physician strategy and executive physician team. She also works closely with the hospital and rehabilitation division CMOs to pursue innovative quality and clinical improvements for our patients.
Dr. Perry has 25 years of experience in emergency medicine and the healthcare industry, and came to Kindred from UnitedHealth Group, a health and well-being company offering healthcare coverage and benefits services as well as information and technology-enabled health services. In 2017 she became CMO of the company’s UnitedHealthcare platform, and was responsible for overseeing initiatives focused on clinical affordability, quality, population health and growth, among others. Prior to her role with UnitedHealthcare, Dr. Perry spent nearly a decade with BJC Healthcare in St. Louis, where she held a number of leadership roles, including Chief of Emergency Medicine and Dean of Medical Education.
Dr. Perry holds a doctorate of osteopathic medicine from A.T. Still University – Kirksville’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Salve Regina University. In 2009, she earned a master’s degree in business as well as a master’s degree in health care management from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Perry is currently the president-elect of the American Heart Association of Kentuckiana and was previously awarded the District Leadership Award by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS).
