Heather Warrell
Exec. Administrator of Digital Innovation for JCPS

Bio
Heather Warrell champions ruckus makers, purple cows, and those who fly close to the sun. Heather is the founder of the Kentucky Online/Virtual Network (KOVN) and currently leads the #KYGoDigital movement in her state.
She is a keynote speaker, published blogger, and has appeared as a guest on two national educational podcasts discussing digital leadership. She has served as a middle school teacher, a library media specialist, and a vice principal of culture and innovation. Her former school, Thomas Nelson High School, is widely recognized as one of the most forward-thinking schools in the state of Kentucky.
In recent years, Heather served as a digital learning coach for the Kentucky Department of Education, where she directly supported over 100 KY district leadership teams with digital leadership strategy. She currently leads the digital transformation strategy as Executive Administrator of Digital Innovation for Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, KY and recently obtained her superintendent certification from the University of KY.
